Red Leg

It's dangerous enough around here with all of the red light and stop sign runners. I can't imagine the fear of jumping out of an airplane at night with flak bursting and then landing in an area controlled by SS and regular German forces. I have been shot at and missed, shit at and hit. But what those men did and accomplished was amazing (and that also goes for the allies like the Polish troops and Britain who invaded on D-Day). During WWII, all of the people, men and women, who fought and worked against the Huns and Japs had a special purpose in life. They just didn't know it at the time.

Red Leg

Our son called this morning. He said he and a few other guys got an overseas phone line put in their quarters for $50 a month so they can make phone calls back home. He also said they will be going on a month-long field exercise and he wishes he had picked Germany! I tried to tell him. I told him the winters are colder in Korea than Germany and there isn't much to do but watch out for North Koreans. But does a 19 year old listen to his parents? NO!!!! Well, live and learn.
